2025 LHYA Spring Baseball

TeeBall – 12U:

LHYA will again play in RYSE RYSE Home Page (rysenation.org)

You may opt out of selling $35 worth of candy bars, by answering Yes in the waivers section, to paying a $20 fee up front.

Division Age Ranges:

Tee Ball 5-6

Coach Pitch 7-8

Minors 9-10

Majors 11-12

Bat Rules are now bring it swing it for Minors and Majors. USA for Tee-Ball. RYSE voted in 2024 to allow USSSA in 8U (Coach Pitch).

Play Up requests must be submitted to [email protected]. Players will need to be approved through the eval process. Send your child's Name, Date of Birth, previous coach and experience. As well as the division in which you are requesting to play. Keep an eye on email for play up evaluation info and further questions.

Team and Coach requests are not permitted unless they are siblings in the same household. Returning players to the same Division will be placed on the same team. Unless the coach has moved on and the assistant did not takeover. All other players will be chosen through a Draft. Players not attending evaluations may be placed on a team through a hat pick.

Spring season General Timeline Information (Will Update as dates are solidified):

- Registration - Closes February 23

- Player Evaluations - March 1 (Coach Pitch) and March 2 (Minors)

- Team selection/ Draft - early March

- Practice begins: March weather permitting

- Field cleanup day-Late March

- Season Begins: End of April Beginning of May

- Season Tournaments: TBD

3 Events per week are expected. During Pre-Season up to 3 practices may be held per week. In season, expect 1 Practice & 2 Games OR 2 Practices & 1 Game.

Players are responsible for Pants, Socks, and belts (Coaches will provide colors during pre season). Players must also be equipped with Legal Bats (Bring it Swing it for 8U-12U. Tee ball may use Tee Ball bat or USA bat), Cleats (NO METAL), and Fielding Glove. Players can use batting gloves and bring their own equipment for catching if desired. LHYA will provide 8-12U teams with Age level sized catchers gear and catchers glove for team use.

2025 Spring Softball

LHYA Softball plays in the COGFP - https://cogfp.org/

Mandatory evaluations will be:

8U - March 8 at 5pm
10U - March 8 at 6pm
12U - March 9 at 1pm

The league will provide a jersey for each player. We will order all uniforms based on the information collected on this registration form rather than the coaches asking for you to provide this, so please make sure you get the right sizes listed for your child.

Each player will be responsible for their own helmets, pants and socks. Your coach will notify you of the desired colors.

Per the current LHYA draft rules, returning players will be placed on their previous coach's team ONLY if the coach is also returning to the same level of play as last season. If a coach OR player is moving up a division, any of their players will be re-drafted. If you are interested in coaching, please complete the volunteer portion of this application and notify us at [email protected]. Please be advised that no player requests for a specific coach will be honored.

This program consists of the following levels of play. Games will be played at our home fields as well as away games against other teams participating in the COGFP.

6U (COGFP) – Born between 1/1/2018 and 12/31/2019

8U (COGFP) - Born between 1/1/2016 and 12/31/2017

10U (COGFP) - Born between 1/1/2014 and 12/31/2015

12U (COGFP) - Born between 1/1/2012 and 12/31/2013

14U (COGFP) - Born between 1/1/2010 and 12/31/2011

Practices start in March and can be up to three nights per week at your coach's discretion. Games start in May and can be one to three nights per week. Games may be any day of the week and there are possible double headers on the weekend. Games will be played with other LHYA teams as well as teams from the Central Ohio Girls Fast Pitch league. All levels of play will require some travel.
