Licking Heights Youth Association

2012 will be a great year for the LHYA. We have made huge strides as a board to ensure we are making all the improvements we can based on the feedback we have been given. We have become a very feedback driven league with the sole purpose of providing the best experience we can for every kid that signs up to play a sport in the LHYA.

The kids are our customer help us give them everything they derserve and expect!

High School - Improve infield conditions on small field, set bases for teeball and request to put up a fence around the infield.

Jersey - No improvements to Jersey as this location will not be in our rotation this year. we are aloud to use for practices however no funds will be allocated for Jersey and the concession stand will be removed.

Foundation Park - The Clippers organization is looking to enhance the softball fields along with starting the building process of 3 baseball fields.

Leads - Big and Small will receive new infields that will be professionally done in the spring. We are also looking to enclose the dug outs on big and put in enclosed dug outs on small. We have already requested to put up a storage shed and batting cage at Leads. These are pending approval at this time from the Leads board.

 2011 was a great year as we were able to upgrade and add $5,000 in baseball equipment and over $3,000 in softball equipment.

2012 we will be updating every coaches bag including Tee ball and will be ensuring every helmet is safe and in great condition for the kids. We will also replace and upgrade any catcher's gear for softball and baseball that require it.

We heard the voices loud and clear and we will be providing Hats, Jersey and Socks with every registration this year.

 New Website! This will be our main driver of better and more up to date information about the LHYA.

We will be offering online registration for every sport in 2012 and you will be able to pay with your credit or debit card in 2012.

All schedules will be posted on the website and all updates will be made on the website. If you register you can get updates pushed to your smart phone or computer. You can also adjust the calendar to only see what you want. This can be a very interactive website.

Each sport and each coach will have a page on this site under their respective sports to house team activities and events along with schedules and other need to know information.

As a youth league we are always looking to improve our rules in order to build the skills all kids in sports need to be successful.

We will be evaluating the Tee Ball rules for 2012 and wil continue to work the rules issues out with the other schools and teams we play in 2012. At this time we are not thinking about going to little league in 2012.
